  • Nationality :
    • The applicant for admission should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National.
  • Qualifying Examination :
    • Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2015 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2015, in any one of the following qualifying examinations :
      • The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).
      • Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
      • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
      • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level.
      Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education alone are eligible to apply.
  • Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination :
    • Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2015 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate). The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories :
      • Candidates belonging to SC/ST category
      • Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
      • CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY & COMMUNITY (refer Information brochure for the format) should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
      • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the 15 B.Tech. Programmes.
      • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes. They are also eligible for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Spec. in Bioinformatics) but after joining, registering Mathematics as bridge course is mandatory.
  • Age Limit :
    • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1993 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2015. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing which they will be disqualified.

Schedule of VITEEE-2015 - Computer Based Test (CBT) :

  • VIT Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted from 8th April to 19th April 2015.
  • The duration of the entrance examination will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Please refer slot booking for further details in www.vit.ac.in from March '2015 onwards.

Pattern of the Entrance Examination :
  • Question Paper : All Questions will be of OBJECTIVE TYPE.
  • PART-I - Physics / PART-II - Chemistry / PART-III - Mathematics / Biology
  • Candidates attempting Physics,Chemistry & Mathematics are eligible for all 15 Programmes offered.
  • Candidates attempting Physics,Chemistry & Biology are eligible for B.Tech Bio-Medical Engineering,Biotechnology and Computer Science and Engg(Spec.in Bioinformatics) programmes only.
  • The selection of pattern (Physics/ Chemistry /Mathematics or Biology) has to be decided at the time of slot booking (March 2015).
  • All the questions will be mostly from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus only.
  • Each part has 40 questions and each question carries one mark.
  • Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and click the same.
  • No negative marks for wrong answers.

    • NRI/PIO/OCI candidates can also apply directly through Direct Admission to B.Tech. programme without appearing for VITEEE-2015. Kindly refer the website for details
    • Foreign candidates are not eligible to apply for VITEEE-2015
    • Change of Test City and the Slot once booked cannot be changed under any circumstances
    • Press submit button after checking the details carefully
    • An application number will be generated immediately after submission
  • Stage 4 - Selection of Mode of payment :

    • Payment through Online Gateway
      • For Payment through online Mode, be ready with Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Bank details
      • During the payment process, DO NOT press backspace or Refresh button inorder to avoid double charges/payment error
      • On successful completion of transaction, kindly take the printout copy of the application for your reference
      • Do not send the hardcopy of the application form after uploading the Photograph and Signature.
      • For Transaction not successful due to network issues / display of error page :
        • For Transaction found not successful, even after the amount deducted from your account, please wait for 3 working days. You can proceed further, after getting the mail from VIT.

    • Softcopy (scanned copy) of signature of the candidate with 10 kb - 200 kb (Dimensions - 6 cm (width) x 2 cm height) in JPG/ JPEG format

Instructions to fill the VITEEE-2015 OMR Application form

The Application Forms will be issued from 1st December, 2014.

The Prospectus and the information brochure for the B.Tech. Degree programme - 2015, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of Rs. 990/- from the various List of Post Offices as given.

  • Candidates can obtain from the designated branches of post offices on cash payment of Rs. 990/-.
